New Student Training Programs - Juniors 6 years & up
For new students coming in to our school. Upon completion of the new student training your child will be ready to graduate to one of our more advanced training programs.

Our karate programs teach children much more than simply kicking and punching. The Junior Program is professionally designed to teach children important life skills and the fundamentals of karate and therefore self-defense, in a fun, exciting, and enriching way. In addition, special attention is placed on developing consistency in the areas of Spirit, Participation, Technique, Attendance, and Manners.
Some Important “Life Skills”
Focus - We teach three rules of concentration. Focus the eyes, the body, and the mind. At first the student may only be able to focus for a few seconds, then for a minute and eventually the student will learn to focus through the completion of the task at hand.
Teamwork - The basis for teamwork is building relationships and cooperation. Becoming aware of how to work together to achieve a common goal.
Discipline - Anyone can do what they are told. Self-discipline is knowing what to do and then doing it without being told; this develops strength or character and successful habits.
Self-control - We teach our students how to achieve control over their body and control over their mind. The physical control develops as mental mastery is achieved, and likewise mental mastery is prompted through the development of physical skills.
Fitness - Karate is an holistic discipline. Exercise through karate will help us to be healthy throughout our life. A fit and healthy body gives us the energy to achieve what is important in life.
Balance - Balance is not simply standing on one foot. Karate training develops balance in everything we do, at work, at play, or at school.
Coordination - In karate, unlike most sports, which concentrate on developing strength in a particular action, karate training involves every part of the body.
